A lay community has grown out of the pastoral work of the SJM over the years, taking part in their spirituality and supporting the work of the congregation according to their strength. This so-called Third Order of St. Ignatius of Loyola is a fellowship of men and women who have set as their goal in a special way the sanctification of their own lives, and to strive to lead as many people as possible to the faith of the Catholic Church.
After a trial period, the members of the Third Order bind themselves to the community through a promise and commit themselves to certain daily prayers. The SJM ensures the spiritual leadership of the Third Order through one of its own priests. In addition, all members of the Congregation include the intentions of the Third Order in their prayers.
